Franco-Canadian, originally from Chengdu China, Xinyi Tan holds a dual Master’s degree in Book Marketing and International Trade with Emerging Countries from Paris University 13, France.
Her work experiences both in China and France, and then in Canada helped Tan develop a multilingual and multicultural background that endowed her with a rather unique expertise.
Tan is currently the representative and consultant of les éditions de la montagne secrète in Québec for foreign rights in China. In the past 10 years, she also acted as a consultant for Livres Canada Books.
Before settling in Montréal, Tan lived in France, where she worked for Les Éditions Larousse as editor and translator. Thanks to the dual expertise she carries from her Master’s degree, she was able to join the agence littéraire Chantal Galtier-Roussel as a literary agent and L’Asiathèque as a project assistant for professional training.
